Enter service mode and check all buttons and encoder functions work correctly – hold MEMORY and TEMPO as you turn the player on, then use the BACK/TAG TRACK buttons above the encoder to navigate service mode. Plug in a USB stick, load a track then play it. Test link to other player works properly. Test both analog and digital inputs to mixer work correctly. Check all mixer functions.

Turn down all amplifier channels. Run music on the sound system at a reasonable level. Turn up each amp channel one at a time and listen to the connected speaker(s) to verify they sound okay. Note – Universal Superclub speakers must be muted / unmuted via Symvue, not on amps. Return all amps to original volume levels when complete.

Booth speaker system – check all speakers individually

Check all projectors visual output is uniform across colour spectrum and full white. Check alignment is correct of projection zones. Ensure all locking nuts are tight. Verify that the laser control PC has Internet access in order to validate the Pangolin license as required.

All amplifier air vents and fan grilles are to be cleaned. Dust is to be dislodged using a soft brush, and then removed with a vacuum. Do not allow the vacuum to spin the cooling fans up as this causes the bearings to fail prematurely. For amplifiers with removable air filters (X8, T604, Quattrocannali), unscrew the front panel as required, remove the air filter, wash it in warm soapy water, rinse, dry, and reinstall. Rack to be vacuumed out of any dust.

Audio processors and network switch(es)

Gentle brush console surfaces to remove dust between fader tracks and buttons. Brush keyboards down. Use dampened cloth to clean console and computer casings.

Remove excess dust using soft brush to dislodge confetti and dust and air compressor at a distance to blow residue away. Do not allow the compressor to spin the cooling fans up as this causes the bearings to fail prematurely. Blow compressed air into and around the yoke of the fixtures to remove any confetti which may be caught in the mechanisms.

Clean mirror objects

Dampen a soft microfiber cloth with warm soapy water and use this to remove excess dirt from mirror objects. Use a second dry cloth to dry and polish the surfaces.

Haze machines

Clean excess haze fluid from casings using soft cloth dampened with warm soapy water. Remove the air intake filter and wash it in warm soapy water. Allow the filter to dry, then reinstall it. Filter is located on the side of Unique 2.1 and Antari hazers, and on the underside of ProHazer.
